Grade K - Alloy No.2 (Sn60 Pb40)

A common application of Grade K (Solder Alloy No.2) is making permanent but reversible connections between copper pipes in plumbing systems. The greater the tin concentration, the greater the solders tensile and shear strengths.

  • Tin Lead alloy 
  • Specified as Grade K to BS219 and No. 2 to BSEN29453. 
  • Melt range 183-190C.
