smartheat cartridges contain the heater and termperature self
regulation alloys smart heat systems require no calibration.

The MX 500 systems require little maintenance
because there are no separate control circuits. The Metcal system
gives you power on demand allowing you to work at lower temperatures.
The power supply even senses if the cartridges have been used
within a 30 minute time period, if not it automatically shuts
down saving tip life.
When incorporated with METCALS desoldering
system you can carry out both smt and through hole rework with
one power supply at the bench. The award winning pistol grip
design out performs all other systems on the market today.
